Old Nampo drinking spot for beef-tendon eomuk hot pot and a cup of warm sake

About

A long-running indoor-pocha-style drinking spot tucked into a Nampo-dong alley at 25-3 Nampo-gil. There is no dedicated parking, so Yongdusan public parking is the practical choice. Phone reservations work only when there is no wait.

The room is tiny: about five round tables plus counter seats, with narrow spacing. When the shop is busy, a two-hour dining limit can apply, so this is better as a focused second-round drinking stop than a slow all-evening table.

The signature is the beef-tendon eomuk hot pot at KRW 38,000. The pot is loaded with beef tendon, tofu-pouch pieces, fish cakes, rice cake, potato, smoked egg, chives, crab-stick-style garnish, and radish. The broth looks dark but does not land salty; the soft tendon and broth-soaked radish are the parts that keep the drinks moving.

Dip the tendon and eomuk in mustard soy sauce, then ask for cheongyang chili when you want the broth reheated with more bite. Basic snacks such as peanuts, dried anchovies, quail eggs, beondegi, and garlic-stem muchim fit the old drinking mood. Dadaki, made with chopped and seasoned flatfish, is the next order if the hot pot alone feels too simple.
