Read the timetable on this page ↓Open this route on the map

Suggested timetable · A Day in Nampo: Bakery, Soy Crab & Hagfish

Arrival times are a plan, not opening hours or travel durations. Choose one restaurant at each alternative stop.

Why this order

Begin around Jungang Station with a small bakery breakfast. Keep the 11:30 crab lunch before Yongdusan Park and the markets, especially on Saturday when Mother’s serves lunch only. Leave the hagfish choice until dinner instead of turning the afternoon into three full meals.

Getting around

Start at Jungang Station on Metro Line 1. Walk between Baekgudang, the 40-Step Stairway and lunch, then continue towards Yongdusan Park, Gukje Market and BIFF Square. Seongiljip takes you back towards Jungang; Busan Kkomjangeo keeps dinner closer to Nampo. Finish at Bupyeong Kkangtong Market. For fewer stairs, skip the stairway climb and keep the lower streets.

Closures, queues & a shorter day

Use this full route Monday–Saturday: Baekgudang and Mother’s are listed as closed on Sunday. On Saturday or a public holiday, phone Mother’s before setting out and keep lunch ahead of the park. If either meal stop is unavailable, keep the market walk and choose another open restaurant in the app; the crab meal is then no longer part of the plan. Skip the park or the hotteok snack for a shorter day. Evening stalls have individual trading hours.

Plan for Mon–Sat: Baekgudang and Eomeoni Ganjang Gejang close Sundays. On Saturday, have lunch at Eomeoni at 11:30, then visit Yongdusan Park and Gukje Market.

  1. 09:00
    Baeggudang

    Korean name: 백구당

Start with a light bread breakfast in Jungang-dong. Leave room for crab rice and save gift shopping for later.

  2. 10:00
    40 Steps

Explore the Jungang-dong lanes and 40 Steps before lunch. Stay on the lower streets if stairs are difficult.

  3. 11:30
    Mother's Soy-marinated Crab

    Korean name: 어머니간장게장

Set meals require two portions; crab-rice dishes are available for solo diners. Keep this early lunch on Saturdays, when service ends in the afternoon.

  4. 13:00
    Yongdusan Park

Rest in the park after lunch. The walk does not require a Busan Tower observation-deck ticket.

  5. 14:30
    Gukje Market

Browse the market lanes and household-goods stalls. Save your appetite for a snack and dinner.

  6. 15:30
    Seed hotteok at BIFF Square

Make seed hotteok your afternoon snack, then browse Gwangbok-ro. The sugar filling is very hot.

  7. 17:30
    Choose one Nampo hagfish restaurant

    Choose one restaurant.

Switch from soy crab to salt-grilled or spicy hagfish for dinner. Choose one restaurant.

    • Seongiljip

      Korean name: 성일집

Choose salt-grilled or spicy hagfish near Jungang-dong; start with salt-grilled if you prefer less heat.

    • Busan Spicy Grilled Sea Eel

      Korean name: 부산꼼장어

Eat in Nampo-dong before returning toward Bupyeong Market. Use this Nampo listing rather than similarly named shops elsewhere.

  8. 19:30
Bupyeong Kkangtong Market in the evening

Finish by browsing stalls that are open after dinner. Individual evening vendors do not all follow the same schedule.

A Day in Gwangalli: Bread, Pork Soup & Octopus

From a 09:00 bakery breakfast in Namcheon to an 18:30 octopus dinner in Suyeong, with Gwangalli Beach and Millak waterfront walks between meals.

Read the timetable on this page ↓Open this route on the map

Suggested timetable · A Day in Gwangalli: Bread, Pork Soup & Octopus

Arrival times are a plan, not opening hours or travel durations. Choose one restaurant at each alternative stop.

Why this order

A small OPS breakfast leaves room for Anmok pork soup. Choose only one afternoon bakery, then walk the beach towards Millak. The coffee stop brings you back inland towards Gwangan Station before octopus dinner near Suyeong, rather than adding another district.

Getting around

Use Namcheon or Geumnyeonsan Station on Metro Line 2 for the morning bakeries. Walk the Namcheon–Gwangalli beach section. After Millak Waterfront Park, use a local bus or taxi towards Gwangan Station if the return walk is too long; check a live route rather than treating the schedule gap as walking time. WERK is at the Gwangan showroom, not the former Jeonpo location. Continue towards Suyeong for dinner.

Closures, queues & a shorter day

Monsieur Vincent closes Monday and Tuesday; choose Ancien instead if it is open. If bread has sold out, keep the beach walk and omit that purchase. At Anmok, register for the on-site queue and stay nearby as your turn approaches. In rain or strong wind, shorten the Millak walk and move inland for coffee. WERK lists last orders at 18:00, so shorten the walk if running late, or skip coffee and go to dinner.

Monsieur Vincent closes Mon–Tue: choose Ancien instead. A local bus is useful from Millak back toward Gwangan Station.

  1. 09:00
    OPS Namcheon Main Branch

    Korean name: 옵스 남천본점

Start with a small bread breakfast, such as a Hakwonjeon cake. Buy what you will eat today rather than carrying gift boxes all day.

  2. 10:00
    Gwangalli Beach, Namcheon end

Take a short walk at the southern end, then return inland for lunch. Save the longer walk toward Millak for the afternoon.

  3. 11:30
    Anmok

    Korean name: 안목

Choose pork soup or pork ramen for lunch. Join the on-site Catchtable queue and stay near the restaurant as your turn approaches.

  4. 13:00
    Choose one Namcheon bakery

    Choose one restaurant.

Choose one for a snack or takeaway. Monsieur Vincent closes Mon–Tue; Ancien opens at noon.

    • Monsieur Vincent

      Korean name: 무슈뱅상

Ask for all baton cuts at checkout and bring a bag.

    • Ancien

      Korean name: 앙시앙

Pumpkin-injeolmi bread is limited to one per person. Pick a little for the beach.

  5. 14:30
    Gwangalli Beach

Now walk toward Millak with Gwangan Bridge in view. Pause on a bench and leave room for dinner.

  6. 16:00
    Millak Waterfront Park

See Gwangan Bridge from a different angle. On windy days, shorten this stop and head toward the cafe by Gwangan Station.

  7. 17:00
    Werk Roasters

    Korean name: 베르크로스터스

Use the current showroom by Gwangan Station Exit 5, rather than the former Jeonpo address. Rest over coffee before the 18:00 last order.

  8. 18:30
    Gugine Spicy Stir-fried Octopus

    Korean name: 국이네낙지볶음

Continue toward Suyeong Station for a hot octopus dinner. Choose octopus, octopus with shrimp, or nakgopsae, and select your spice level.

A Day in Haeundae: Brunch, Pork Soup & Crab — Actual itinerary opened in the BusanTaste map appPreview in the map app

A Day in Haeundae: Brunch, Pork Soup & Crab

Start at 09:00 with coffee and bread or sea-view brunch, have pork soup for lunch, then crab for dinner. Walk Dongbaek, the market and Mipo between meals.

Read the timetable on this page ↓Open this route on the map

Suggested timetable · A Day in Haeundae: Brunch, Pork Soup & Crab

Arrival times are a plan, not opening hours or travel durations. Choose one restaurant at each alternative stop.

Why this order

Choose one breakfast to match your starting point: Momos in Marine City for coffee and bread, Standard Bread near Haeundae Station for toast, or Working Holiday by the beach for a sea-view brunch. Then visit Dongbaek before lunch, the market and the eastern beach. Keep the afternoon snacks small so there is room for the crab dinner.

Getting around

For Momos Marine City, start on the Dongbaek side of Metro Line 2; for Standard Bread or Working Holiday, start from Haeundae Station. Your breakfast choice changes the morning walk: the beach brunch requires a westward trip to Dongbaek before returning towards the market. In the afternoon, head east towards Mipo. Haemakki is on the Pale de CZ side, while Sinsakkotgedang is farther west at Harbor Town, so check your dinner choice before walking back. The map links mark destinations; use a live route for travel times.

Closures, queues & a shorter day

If the breakfast queue is too long, choose another breakfast option rather than visiting all three. If a late breakfast pushes lunch back, shorten the market browse or Mipo walk. For dinner, check availability on the linked booking service. Haemakki’s Naver booking starts at two guests; solo diners should ask the shop about seating. In rain or strong wind, omit the exposed coastal walks and keep the meals. Beach Train and Sky Capsule tickets are separate from this walking plan.

Working Holiday has on-site queues and may ask diners to share tables on weekends. Haemakki closes Wednesdays: choose Sinsakkotgedang for dinner. Use inner Dongbaek paths if stairs are difficult.

French toast from KRW 13,000, drinks extra. Check Catchtable waiting on weekends and allow for bread sellouts.

    • Working Holiday Haeundae

      Korean name: 워킹홀리데이 해운대

Breakfast on the sea-view fifth floor: salad, croissants or eggs Benedict. Weekends can mean on-site queues and shared tables. No dedicated parking or parking subsidy.

  2. 10:30
    Dongbaek Park

Walk Dongbaek after breakfast. The coastal deck has stairs; use the inner park paths with a stroller or if stairs are difficult.

Browse the market after lunch. Keep snacks small and spend the afternoon on shopping and walks.

  5. 14:30

  6. 16:00

Pause by the Mipo coast, then return toward central Haeundae. This walking itinerary does not include a Beach Train or Sky Capsule ride.

  7. 18:00

Male-crab set KRW 20,000 or shell-free crab bibimbap KRW 22,000. Cooked options: crab-octopus braise for two or small crab stew, KRW 55,000 each. Naver reservations; closed Wednesdays.

    • Sinsakkotgedang Haeundae

      Korean name: 신사꽃게당 해운대점
