Taesan Handmade Dumplings & Kalguksu

태산손만두칼국수

Myeongjang Station thin-skinned handmade dumplings and clear anchovy-broth kalguksu

About

A small old-school dumpling and kalguksu shop about three minutes from Myeongjang Station Exit 3. There is no dedicated parking, so use nearby public or paid parking; the GS supermarket lot opposite is not affiliated with the restaurant. The room has only five or six tables, and soup-menu takeout adds a KRW 500 container charge. Dumplings often sell out by evening.

Both meat and kimchi dumplings are small, with very thin, chewy skins and finely textured, gently seasoned fillings. The mild style works well with children or diners who dislike aggressive seasoning. Kalguksu uses a clear anchovy broth and soft, thin noodles rather than a thick starchy soup. The well-fermented radish kimchi brings the needed sharpness. It suits solo lunch, simple family meals, and takeaway dumplings.

Menu highlights: Kalguksu and dumpling soup around KRW 6,000-7,000 · Meat dumplings · Kimchi dumplings · Cold soybean kalguksu · Takeout container KRW 500. Availability changes by season, so scan the board before deciding.

The short version: Myeongjang Station thin-skinned handmade dumplings and clear anchovy-broth kalguksu.
