A dumpling-focused Chinese restaurant on Daedong-ro, across from Muhak Apartment in Hakjang-dong. It is close to bus stops, and there is no dedicated parking; use nearby paid lots such as Bando Parking, the Daiso Hakjang-dong lot, or Woori Parking. Even after the main lunch rush, regulars keep coming through the room.
This is not a jajangmyeon-and-jjamppong Chinese room. Dumplings and cooked dishes carry the meal. Hongcho mandu arrive ten to a steamer, filled with pork and chives, with chili-oil savor already worked into the dumpling. The skin is thin and chewy, and the filling releases juice as soon as you bite.
The fried pork is the signature to add. The outside cracks crisp, the inside stays moist, and chopped garlic with black pepper sits over the top like a savory crumble. Eat it plain for salt, pepper, and garlic, then add the house soy-style sauce for a sweeter, deeper plate that works with drinks.
Pan-fried dumplings bring crisp skin and juice, while steamed dumplings are softer. Kkanpunggi gives a spicy-sour fried chicken option, and the chili shrimp has a chewy coat around plump shrimp. The room has red Chinese-style details, hall tables, and a floor-seating side room, making it useful for friends, family meals, dates, and small groups.
