PNU noodle benchmark for anchovy broth, gamtae rice balls, and crisp seafood pajeon
A small noodle shop two to three minutes from Pusan National University Station Exit 1. There is no dedicated parking or parking support, so PNU South Public Parking or PNU Station public parking is the realistic driving route. Lunch and dinner peaks often bring a wait, handled by an on-site handwritten list rather than a remote queueing app.
The signature is the warm anchovy noodle bowl. The broth is based on southern-coast anchovies and vegetables, with a clean depth instead of heavy seasoning. Thin somyeon, thin fish-cake slices, and garnish keep the bowl simple, and the large size is only a small add-on.
The spicy mixed noodles are bright, sweet-sour, and vegetable-heavy. Seafood pajeon is a strong side because the outside lands crisp rather than doughy, with long scallions and seafood inside. The small suyuk sells out often, and the gamtae rice balls with pollack-roe mayo, sesame oil, and seaweed are the easy side to add every visit.
Window bar seats make solo eating easy, while two- and four-person tables plus child chairs make it useful for families and PNU lunches. Blue Ribbon mentions and the good-price public-shop context are useful background, but the practical reason to go is steady broth, generous portions, and low prices. Avoid Sunday and the weekday break, and plan for a wait at peaks.
