Seodong Miro Market jjamppong with wok smoke, onion sweetness, and generous seafood
A local jjamppong shop inside Seodong Miro Market. There is no dedicated parking, so use the market public car park or nearby public lots if driving. Dine-in, delivery, and takeout are available, and orders are paid in advance. Seats are limited, but the counter makes solo dining possible and turnover is quick.
The main order is Panda jjamppong. A large amount of wok-fried onion gives the broth sweetness and smoke, while mussels, shrimp, crab, and squid make the bowl feel more generous than the price suggests. The soup is spicy and refreshing without becoming too oily.
Many reviews rate the jjamppong far above the jjajangmyeon. Panda jjamppong is KRW 8,000, with large size only KRW 1,000 extra, so two people can comfortably share one large bowl with the small tangsuyuk. The noodles take the broth well and do not feel floury.
The glutinous-rice pork tangsuyuk is a useful side, especially in the small size, but it is more of a chewy, decent companion than the reason to visit. Expect a market Chinese-room mood with a visible wok flame, local regulars, delivery riders, and basic comfort rather than polished restaurant conditions.
