Deokcheon Station rice-cake dessert cafe known for mugwort rice-cake waffles and butter-grilled rice cake
A rice-cake dessert cafe directly by Deokcheon Station Exit 5 on Geumgok-daero. It is very easy by subway or bus at Deokcheon Rotary, but there is no dedicated parking; Daericheon Public Parking Lot is the paid-lot plan when driving.
The first floor has the counter and bar seats, while the second floor is broader and quieter, with tables, floor seating, a baby chair, and the restroom. Warm wood, white-brown tones, yellow lighting, and Post-it notes on the stair wall give it a cozy neighborhood mood.
The draw is fusion dessert made with rice cakes from the owner’s family rice-cake shop. Mugwort rice-cake waffle comes with ice cream and berries, cream honey-seolgi puts cream over honey rice cake, and butter-grilled sultteok is the TV-famous signature snack.
The drink side leans nutty and traditional, with black-sesame latte, mugwort latte, and rice-cake milk tea fitting the dessert mood. Mugwort waffle is crisp and chewy rather than a moist waffle, and the small butter rice cake may be served cold; choose the butter-grilled sultteok if you want a warmer grilled-rice-cake texture.
