Oncheon Station Kalguksu

온천역칼국수

Oncheonjang Station local kalguksu shop with maesaengi noodles and low prices

About

A local kalguksu shop just behind Oncheonjang Station Exit 4, on the Bugok-dong side. There is no dedicated parking; use the nearby Oncheonjang public parking lot at your own expense. The room is larger than expected, with queue numbers, prepayment, an open kitchen, and robot serving.

The main kalguksu uses green maesaengi dough and an anchovy-kelp style broth. The seaweed aroma does not turn fishy; it mostly shows in the color and soft noodle texture. Toppings stay simple, with green onion, seaweed flakes, and fried crumbs.

Ask for the red seasoning paste separately if you want a clear broth or are eating with children. The spicy mixed kalguksu has vegetables, egg, seaweed flakes, and a fruit-aged sauce, and it comes with broth on the side. In summer, the cold soybean kalguksu and soybean broth takeout are popular; in winter, red-bean kalguksu fills that role.

It is useful for solo meals, quick lunches near the station, parents, and a simple bowl with children. Prices start in the KRW 6,000 range, so it feels like a practical neighborhood noodle shop rather than a destination restaurant. Peak lunch can bring a queue, but turnover is usually quick.
