PNU counter-seat ramen shop where abura soba finishes with free rice
A small ramen shop in the Jangjeon-ro 12beon-gil alley, about five minutes from Pusan National University Station Exit 1. It sits beside Wok Hei and works naturally with the PNU cafe-street route. There is no parking, so the PNU Station public lot is the practical car route. Order first at the entrance kiosk, then sit at the counter around the open kitchen.
The menu is focused: shio ramen, shoyu ramen, abura soba, and shrimp abura soba. Abura soba is the main first order if you want something richer: a soup-less mixed ramen with chashu, chicken, minced meat, onion, scallion, and egg yolk. It feels cleaner and lighter than many mazesoba bowls, but the sauce still coats the noodles with nutty savor.
Free rice comes with abura soba, and mixing that rice into the remaining sauce is the best finish. Shio ramen goes the other direction, with a clear, gentle broth that is not too salty or heavy. Slightly flat, thicker noodles keep texture, while chashu, soft egg, bamboo shoot, and chicken-style toppings keep the bowl tidy.
Yuzu pickled radish, kombu vinegar, white pepper, and house chili oil help change the flavor mid-bowl. The room is compact and counter-driven, so it suits solo ramen, a two-person PNU lunch, and quick meals more than long group dining. Big eaters may find one ramen bowl a little light, so plan around the free-rice finish when ordering abura soba.
