Oncheonjang makguksu and buckwheat-sprout suyuk for family meals
A makguksu and ongshimi noodle restaurant on Singmurwon-ro in Geumjeong-gu, about a short walk from Oncheonjang Station. Parking is available in front of the restaurant, and Geumjeongsan Parking is the fallback when the front spaces fill. Tabling waiting is used, and table-side ordering and payment keep the flow simple.
The must-order dish is buckwheat-sprout suyuk. The pork is soft and clean without porky smell, with a chewy fatty edge that feels between suyuk and jokbal. The sweet-sour buckwheat sprouts give the plate its identity and make the pork feel lighter.
The two noodle choices split by mood: dongchimi makguksu is cold, icy, and bright for summer, while spicy mixed makguksu carries a cleaner, lightly tangy sauce. Ordering one of each for two people is the easiest way to read the shop.
In colder weather, ongshimi kalguksu and ongshimi-only soup are the warmer route. Meal orders can come with barley rice, and extra barley rice with young radish kimchi works as a small side meal. Rooms and many tables make it useful for parents, older guests, children, and Oncheonjang-area family meals.
