Kimuen Ramen

키무엔라멘

Seven-seat PNU ramen counter known for shio ramen and abura soba

About

A small ramen shop near Oncheoncheon, about 150 meters from Pusan National University Station Exit 3. There is no dedicated parking, so the PNU north-side public lot is the practical car route. It does not use Catch Table, Naver booking, phone booking, or a written waitlist; stand in order and remember who arrived before you.

The room is a counter of roughly seven seats facing an open kitchen, making it easy for solo ramen but difficult for groups. Order at the kiosk, then take water and pickled radish from the self-serve area. The kitchen is visibly clean, and many visits describe the owner cooking alone, so waits and sellouts are part of the rhythm.

Shio ramen is a clear salt ramen built on chicken and clam broth, balancing umami, noodles, and chashu. Shoyu ramen is the soy-sauce option, while shoyu paitan and shio paitan go richer and cloudier.

Abura soba is the must-try if you like soup-less ramen: onion, scallion, chashu, chicken breast, egg yolk, and mayonnaise coat the thick noodles with a nutty, savory finish. Niboshi abura soba uses a dried-sardine base, and kani abura soba leans on crab innards. Portions are not huge, so adding rice to the broth or leftover sauce is a good finish.
