Jangwon Yukjeon Milmyeon

장원육전밀면

Jurye yukjeon milmyeon with matured house noodles and 48-hour broth

About

A Jurye-area yukjeon milmyeon shop on Gaya-daero, tied into the same dining route as Jangwon Galbi. There are one or two spaces in front and a dedicated lot right beside the shop; ask the restaurant to register your car for the 40-minute parking support. The alley can feel busy, and peak lunch or dinner may bring a wait, so know the kiosk order-and-pay flow before sitting down.

The main choices are yukjeon cold broth milmyeon, yukjeon broth-mixed milmyeon, and yukjeon spicy mixed milmyeon. The broth is presented as a 48-hour simmer of medicinal herbs, vegetables, and Hanwoo beef bones, and even the self-serve warm broth carries a clear beefy aroma. The noodles are mixed and matured in house, giving them a springy, chewy bite.

The cold broth bowl is icy, clean, and refreshing. The broth-mixed version works for people who like seasoning but still want a little soup in the bowl, while the spicy mixed noodles stay balanced rather than aggressively hot. The yukjeon feels more like a pan-fried house garnish than a packaged topping, and wrapping the noodles with it makes the bowl more satisfying.

Meat dumplings are the side to add when cold noodles alone feel too light, especially if you like thin skins and a full filling. The stir-fried pork galbi is KRW 22,000, but first visits are better kept to milmyeon and dumplings. The room is comfortable and tidy enough for friends, family meals, and a local Jurye lunch, and cucumber can be left out if requested when ordering.
