The Oldboy dumpling house in Busan Chinatown

About

A Busan Chinatown old Chinese restaurant right by Busan Station Exit 1, known for the pan-fried dumplings used in the film Oldboy. The room is small and old, with a lot of signatures on the walls.

The famous dumplings are large, almost bread-like, with a thick skin and a full filling. They are crisp outside and moist inside, with a clear ginger aroma and a fairly salty finish.

Uni jjajang is a good value order, and the jjamppong is a clear old-style seafood soup. There is no parking, so use nearby paid lots or come on foot from the station.

Known for: Small pan-fried dumplings KRW 9,000 · Large KRW 13,000 · Uni jjajangmyeon KRW 7,000 · Jjamppong KRW 9,000. Expect small changes through the year, so check what is available that day.
