Dwaeji Gukbap: Busan’s Pork Soup

About

This main-road restaurant is immediately outside Exit 4 of Naengjeong Station. Although it is in Sasang-gu, it is not beside Sasang Station. A free dedicated lot sits next to the restaurant.

The milky broth carries a generous serving of pork, with rice served separately. It is rich without being overly thick. Taste the already-seasoned broth before adding salted shrimp or chili paste; chives and thin noodles make a useful first addition.

Pork soup costs KRW 10,000, pork-and-offal soup KRW 10,500, and the boiled-pork set KRW 13,000. Sausage and offal bowls, plus small pork or sausage plates, let diners choose different textures or keep their meat separate from the soup.

Extra side dishes are self-service. The station access and round-the-clock schedule suit breakfast, solo dining or a meal after a late return. Holiday closures apply around Lunar New Year and Chuseok, so check the listed days when travelling then.
