Old Beomil-dong alley crab house for half-soy, half-spicy crab, roe rice, and flower-crab soybean stew

About

An old-style crab restaurant tucked into an alley near Beomil Station. There is no dedicated parking lot, so plan on a nearby paid lot or the Connect Hyundai area before driving in. Inside, four-person tables, vinyl table covers, and plastic gloves make it comfortable to eat crab by hand.

First-timers should start with the half-soy, half-spicy set. The soy-marinated crab is low on fishiness and not just salty, so the roe and meat mix well with rice. The spicy crab is lightly sweet and not punishingly hot, especially good wrapped with rice and seaweed.

Roe rice with egg yolk, flying fish roe, and seaweed flakes is the side to add if you want to mix crab sauce properly. The flower-crab soybean stew is peppery and earthy enough to reset the palate between bites of crab, while pork bulgogi or grilled fish helps when one person at the table does not want crab.

Expect a local alley-restaurant mood rather than a polished new dining room. It fits parents, couples, friends, and Busan Station or Beomil-dong routes when the goal is soy-marinated crab without a strong fishy smell. Phone ahead for late meals because review notes differ on closing time and holidays.
