Dwaeji Gukbap: Busan’s Pork Soup

About

This polished pork soup restaurant sits on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae. There is no dedicated parking, so drivers need a nearby paid lot. Catch Table remote queuing is available at busy times, and counter seats make solo dining practical.

The signature rich broth is made by simmering Korean pork and bones for more than eight hours. Try the first spoon plain: it is dense and creamy without a strong pork odor. A spoonful of minced garlic adds savoriness and leaves a cleaner finish.

Both clear and rich broth versions cost the same. The rich pork bowl best shows the restaurant’s character, while the separate pork-and-rice set is easier for parents or anyone unfamiliar with rice served in soup.

The calm, tidy dining room works well for family meals, but queues now form even at weekday lunch. Suyuk and milmyeon can sell out around midday, so arrive early if either is essential.
