Choi Ppyeodagu Haejangguk Sasang Branch

최뼈다구해장국 사상점

Original Sasang pork-backbone hangover soup with large bones, greens, noodles, and fast solo-meal pacing

About

The Sasang branch sits beside Sasang Public Parking on Gwangjang-ro. Front-side parking is used, but at meal peaks the public lot is the practical backup. For late-night soup after 21:30, the separate 24-hour second branch on Gwangjang-ro 22 is the better target.

The main order is pork-backbone haejangguk at KRW 10,000. Three to four large bones, napa greens, and scallions make the bowl feel substantial. The broth leans salty and warming, built for quick hangover comfort rather than a delicate soup tasting.

Orders go through a tablet at the table, and the bowl often lands in three to five minutes. The basic tray brings kkakdugi, kimchi, onion, chili, ssamjang, and somyeon noodles. Grab wasabi from the self-serve bar if you want to dip the meat, then drop the noodles into the soup.

The first and second floors are roomy, but the lunch rush around 11:30 to noon fills quickly. There are no private rooms; this is a busy old-style haejangguk room for solo dining, a quick work lunch, hangover soup with friends, or a casual bowl with makgeolli.
