Dwaeji Gukbap: Busan’s Pork Soup

About

Walk toward Gwangalli from Exit 3 of Geumnyeonsan Station. Use a nearby paid lot such as Daewoo Private Parking; parking fees are not covered. Older reports of free parking no longer match the current listing. Naver reservations and takeaway are available.

The lean-pork soup has thin, soft slices; the premium soup uses the richer jowl and cheek cuts. The soup is gently seasoned and pairs well with separate boiled pork and sausage. Choose a set if you want to compare the meat outside the broth.

The premium set for two costs KRW 29,000 and includes two soups, boiled jowl, cheek and belly, sausage, kimchi and two bowls of rice. A one-person set and individual soup bowls work for solo diners.

Four-person tables and counter seats cover families and solo meals. High chairs, children’s tableware and a smaller children’s soup are available. The early opening suits breakfast before leaving a Gwangalli hotel. Extra side dishes come from the self-service counter.
