Cafe Gongji

카페공지

Yeonhwa-ri loaf-focused dessert cafe known for fruit sandwiches, butter toast, and a garden setting

About

A loaf-focused dessert cafe on Gijanghaean-ro, close to Yeonhwa-ri and the coast. The whole building works as the cafe, with basement, first-floor, second-floor, terrace, and garden spaces. The dedicated free lot is described as roughly thirty cars, though weekends can still fill.

Loaves come out around 10:00 and 13:00, with a 15:00 bake on weekends and holidays. Time the visit around those bakes if warm Gongji loaf or corn loaf is the goal. The ordering level has a forest view, while the basement has more two-person and group seating and connects to the garden terrace.

The core orders are Gongji loaf, butter toast, and seasonal fruit sando. The loaf is soft when eaten plain, but toasting brings out much more buttery aroma, so butter toast is the best first-visit order. Fruit sandwiches can change by season, with peach, mixed fruit, banana Nutella, and strawberry styles.

Coffee, decaf Americano, hand drip, tea, ade, ice cream, small jams, cream, and butter make the bread easy to customize. Storage guidance favors freezing the loaf in a zipper bag on the purchase day, then thawing and toasting before eating. The garden and roomy interior work well with children, but one review notes that the second-floor stair area looked less protected.
