Busan Milmyeon Deokcheon

부산밀면

Deokcheon neighborhood milmyeon beside NewCore, with clean chicken broth and handmade dumplings

About

A long-running milmyeon shop in the Buguk Apartment arcade beside Deokcheon NewCore Outlet. There is no dedicated parking, but it is easy to reach on foot from Deokcheon Station, the youth street, and the shopping route. It is also only a short ride from Gupo Station, so it fits a north Busan lunch plan.

The first order is the KRW 7,000 cold broth milmyeon. The broth leans clean and chicken-based rather than porky, with a gentle herbal aroma and no heavy aftertaste. Shredded chicken and neatly cut egg make the bowl comfortable for many ages.

Hoe spicy mixed milmyeon is around KRW 8,000, and the young-radish broth-mixed version is useful in summer. The warm chicken broth served before the noodles tastes better with a little pepper, and the handmade dumplings are worth adding for their thin, chewy skins and full filling. Kalguksu and kalguksu with dumplings give the shop a warm-noodle route when cold noodles are not the mood.

The room is not large, but counter seats and tables make solo dining and small family meals easy. The open kitchen keeps the cooking visible. It works for Deokcheon shopping lunches, simple dates, family meals, and a light hangover bowl after a night near the youth street.
