Seomyeon Baengnyeon Gage old drinking house with deep odeng broth and dubu-kimchi
A 60-year Seomyeon drinking house long known as Marathonjip, near the central Gaya-daero alleys. It opens from 16:00 to 24:00 Monday through Saturday and closes Sunday, making it natural for a first drink or a second round in Seomyeon.
Inside, the wood tones, low lighting, and odeng-nabe pot give it a clear old Japanese tavern mood. It is not only nostalgic; the tables have enough space to talk over drinks without feeling crushed.
The house order is Japanese-style traditional odeng at KRW 25,000, with tendon, egg, fish cake, rice cake, and shrimp in a deep but clean broth. Beef dubu-kimchi at KRW 18,000 and crisp bindaetteok round out the drinking table.
The dishes worth knowing: Japanese-style traditional odeng KRW 25,000 · Beef dubu-kimchi KRW 18,000 · Bindaetteok. Seasonal swaps happen, so the posted menu is what counts.
